Hexenküche – Formerly Known As
Innsbruck, Mühlauer Klamm
This installation in public space consists of a feminist re-design the so-called Hexenkuchl in the Mühlauer Klamm, calling into question the historical memory of the figure of the witch, and thus the cultural significance of European witch hunts. This multi-part visual and sculptural work will transform this location, which until recently featured artwork which propagated misogynist stereotypes and a revisionist history of the European witch hunts.
