Project description

Together with female whip-crackers, in this performance the artist will break the atmosphere of looking away and silence. By appropriating a male tradition with female and queer performers, the whip-cracking emerges as an emancipatory act. For artist Nicole Weniger, female whip-crackers embody self-empowerment. They send a clear message that everyone deserves a place in our society.

Music composed by Marko Sulz especially for the performance will add a further level to Hinschauen.
